Anarchists, logic, gaming, fish!

Joe Toscano of the Anarchist Media Collective, spoke at the Unitarians on Sunday. A good introductory talk, highlighting the distinction betweeen "rules, not rulers", "freedom not chaos", "delegation, not representation". Very good to see him there, especially after I had been told in no uncertain terms by a committee member that the topic of anarchism would never be discussed at a service. Afterwards gave a presentation on Fun With Logic (3 page, .doc file) at the philosophy forum. Was very well received.
PM has started the next set of scenarios in our retro-AD&D game; this time the famous "Giants" series - we start against Welsh giants, then Norse giants and finally we'll end up in Iceland. In the meantime, we dealt with the historic Revolt of the Earls. Current scene in the HeroQuest PBeM will between the party seeking Talor's artifacts and the Telmori, the werewolves cursed by Talor. Recently reviewed GURPS Bunnies & Burrows, one of the best RPG supplements of all time. Also, because we don't have enough animals in our flat, we now have fish! Three leopard danio, one zebra danio, a fantail named 'Patch' and a blackmoor named 'Dave Arneson'.
French Presidential election round #1 is a move to the centre. Nigerian election is a disaster. Discordians acquire limbo! Great link of the week award to
mikey_ob. Bag End as a model. In filmic news, recently saw Bragnah's four-hour, 65mm Hamlet at the Astor. Highly recommended, even if the lead/director likes seeing himself on camera a lot.

So, no official title. Not yet Dr. Rev Lev.

Date: 2007-04-24 07:52 pm (UTC)Ed Hogg!?! I was trying to get in contact with him a few years ago... IIRC it was over some obscure C&S related item.... Send my regards!
It is my opinion that devilbunnies have retractable thumbs. Whilst not empirically obvious, like electrons, they are evident by their effects. *nods*
