So whilst all these disasters are happening I've been having a great time. Further, I've been working on yet another website this time for a PR company who pay quite well indeed. Off-hours, The Norman Britian RetroAD&D game continues to be great fun and this Sunday we're playing Cybernoia, which imajica_lj has been saying very nice things about. Also on Sunday, a person of no less greatness than claudine_c is speaking at the Melbourne Unitarian Church on her rural health work in India. Finally, the bunny, Astaroth from the second summoning, is doing well. And whoever the anonymous stranger who sent me a dozen virtual red roses, thanks!

Holy crap, that is scary as... Our major study in high school history was the Kennedy assasination, for the very reason that it illustrated the concept of history as a construct. Was the Warren Commission report a true account of events? Was there possibly another gunman on the grassy knoll? We'll never know.. I wonder what the official take on that is in Florida. I suppose it considers the Warren Report to be doctrine.

This is step 1.
First you claim there is only 1 correct/true history. Then you slowly sculpt said single history into the one that best suits your political agenda.

Check out a Chinese history text book some time. think you will find any mention of the Tiananmen Square protest, the 77 million deaths that have a occured as a direct result of the cultural revolution, or a detailed account of China's support for less than savory states over the past 80 years.... Fat fucking chance.
