This Sunday evening sensible people in Melbourne will be attending the most fabulous Gamers movie; 7pm at The Spanish Club. Check out the distrubing The Beef Jerky Scene, The Comforter of Shame and the classic children's song... I Love Dick. There's even a possibility that the director will be attending our Sunday afternoon AD&D Norman Britian and GURPS Australian Noir games prior to the screening.
Speaking of movies Prosper Australia wants to do a documentary on the effects of taxation rather than site rental for public financing. We're looking at putting up $10 000 to a young aspiring director (uni students should like this one). (Feel free to share this news around).
To go along with our rats, we now have a bunny!. It's named Astaroth, a delightfully inappropriate name for such a harmless creature and partially in reference to a famous 1991 study of usenet groups which should alt.devilbunnies to be the exact median group in popularity.
Why peaceniks hate Israel (especially Jewish peaceniks who live in Israel); a couple of military hostages are taken and the response? Kill dozens of civilians.
EDIT: OK, I'm struck by an animal weirdness magnet
On the way to gaming tonight
caseopaya spotted a baby ringtail possum which we promptly rescued from a stalking cat and brought home after designing characters for our next mini-campaign, In Nomine. After feeding the possum, I walked into the bathroom to discover the rats had managed to sneak in - and had rather conclusively killed the rabbit.
EDIT 2
Possum successfully delivered to Lort Smith; they'll take care of it and pass it on to a sanctuary. We decided to engage in a second summong whilst visiting a pet store in town; the new Astaroth!. This one is staying behind a firmly closed door in the bedroom; unless the rats have the ability to teleport (which I wouldn't put past them) this li'll fella should reach a riper age!
