Received results for last semester's MBA subjects (Strategic Management and Contemporary People Management); two high distinctions! That's about a good as one could wish for. My calculations are that I received 80% for the Strategic Management exam (the same as the assignment) and, quite remarkably, 86% for the Contemporary People Management exam. In the past week I also enrolled in the two subjects for the first semester next year; Leadership and e-Business Strategy. These are the final units for my MBA (Technology Management), assuming I finish the current courses (Managing Innovation and Pathways to Organisational Best Practice).
In the last fortnight there has been some fairly significant gaming activities. The first was the conclusion of the RuneQuest Prax story that has been run for two years and eight months with over seventy sessions, resulting with one of the PCs reaching apotheosis with a successful heroquest to return fire powers to the god of light. We also finished our Mouseguard Enemy Within with total defeat for the Guard Mice! I have had the opportunity to run two further sessions of The Riddle of Steel using the (very old and surprisingly good) Fortress Ellendar scenario from High Fantasy and have submitted a review. This is in addition to reviews submitted to rpg.net in the past few days for Corporation, and Cyberspace. All of this is part of the very-soon-to-be-released tenth edition of RPG Review specialising in near-future and cyberpunk settings.
Spent Christmas with Brendan E., who treated us to what is now traditional zombie movies and the Drawn Together movie then on to casa

Date: 2010-12-29 09:33 pm (UTC)One of these days I must pick your brains about Hinduism, btw. Not that I'm converting or anything, but I've included a fair bit of it in a novel and RPG supplement (set in the old Hindu kingdoms of the 16thCE in contemporary Indonesia) that is mostly written...

Date: 2010-12-30 01:55 pm (UTC)Sure, you are welcome to talk about Hinduism at any time. I am not a scholar or anything as you already know, but I have been fortunate enough to be acquainted with some, and to extract something out of them. I'll be glad to share whatever I know :)
Of course there's no need to consider converting. What matters is the integrity of your thought process and the compassion you have. The label you choose to give yourself is more a matter of convenience for communication, and is completely your personal choice. I, in any case, consider Hinduism to be more of an attitude towards spiritual inquiry than a fixed set of beliefs.
Would love to read what you have included. My knowledge about Hinduism in South-East Asia is limited to some of the variations in mythology from "mainland" India.
