Very beneficial week in politics with Dr. Joe Toscano agreeing to become Public Officer of the Isocracy Network as the upcoming inaugural meeting approaches. Visited Paul DiA on Saturday and following a long and fruitful conversation she has agreed to accept a nomination as Secretary, and has pointed out an excellent collection of appropriate texts. Julian Assange has also been in touch and said that he will try to send a representative. There is an even bigger endorsement coming soon, which I'll keep under cover until the appropriate time. In more mainstream politics, the Land and Labor League has contacted all Federal MPs in what has been a very good week for the Resource Rent campaign.

Gaming-wise have had quite a busy period; just returned from running the classic RuneQuest scenario Snake Pipe Hollow which is proving very tough so far with a litany of bad results. Thursday night was another episode of Dragon Age which was mostly fighting out an ambush site; effectively we played out a single-unit wargame, which is fine sometimes. Tomorrow night is the start of the final scenario for the Fantasy Australia D&D game. On RPG.net I've had two reviews published this week; one for Powers and Perils and one for the game-world supplement Perilous Lands.

With the advent of winter I've been making use of my culinary skills, which are orientated towards such weather. Friday night, post Markus's farewell drinks at work (more palinka courtesy of our local Transylvanian) I manufactured a small supply of a very simple French winter peasant dish; coq au vin. I personally skip the lardons as the chicken provides sufficient fat. In this particularly version I used coarsely chopped Swiss field mushrooms instead of button mushrooms. This is highly recommended in the colder months, and goes particularly well with a few glasses of aged full-bodied red. Cheers!

Mmmm... yes, it is about coq au vin time of year. I don't bother with the lardons either.

Heh, with the opportunity to discuss anarchist politics, RuneQuest gaming and food I got [livejournal.com profile] strangedave on the third one.

I'm thinking vegetarian lasagne bechamel will be next on the list...
