There are ways and means of introducing an item of faith without rubbing others up the wrong way. By all means provide one of the better scriptural quotations and allow those assembled to reflect on it in their own way.
There is an old saying that funerals are for the living, not for the dead, but even in this context I am saw no little that friends and family were overly impressed. Although a few did smile when there was an outbreak of hail which drowned out the Salvo's preacher and then stopped when they stopped speaking :)
