She said yes.

(I "blame", in part, airiefairie's excellent proposal for ending state-sanctioned marriage in favour of civil unions for all, and beagl and kimeros for cutting a similar path. Thanks for the inspiration.)

(y'know, Cal and I have struggled to find a good way to refer to each other; Civil Union Partner is terrible! We've defaulted to "husband" and "wife" (usually delivered in semi-ironic tone) even though we are expressly forbidden from using those terms in any formal sense.
