No, you're certainly not the only one.

However in this instance I think there's a larger force at play.

Militarily it makes some insane sense to establish a frontline that goes from the Egyptian border, through Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.

I suspect this is why the U.S. and the U.K. both have refused to call for a ceasefire. They're weighing up their options.

As for Hezbollah they'll exist as long as Israel exists.
