I fear that even had I kept up with my classical and philosophical studies I would still have little to offer you other than the occasional off-piste insight and the odd bon mot. Methinks you passed me long ago. It's a shame you weren't good friends with vox_diabolica, but I understand his personality isn't to everyone's taste.
The education stuff is interesting to me, as a layman with a bee in my bonnet about all things educational. At the moment though I'm all about politics in my own country. (And the search for musical notes too, obvs.) The corruption of the UK is my chief concern and I'm trying to find the right levers to assist in bringing about a change in our polity's consciousness; towards one that actively dislikes corruption, cronyism, and all the frankly immoral aspects of our present administration.
We have a collaborationist media to deal with. The Beeb has fallen. We have an opposition that, upon seeing the lurch towards fascism, thinks of ways to court the fascist vote, and is happy to scamper ever further to the right.
And we have the criminally corrupt Tories ahead in the polls. The nightmare is upon us.
