Papers & Paychecks has been printed and some copies have already been circulated. I know have 14 boxes of books in my loungeroom. PDFs have been sent to all those who backed the Kickstarter, and a copy of the game is available on drivethrurpg.com for a mere $10. Work on the Cow-Orkers supplement has kicked up a notch as result with work on The Palace of the Electrum Princess and So, You Want It Darker?, which is Papers & Paychecks in North Korea. Adding more to this, ran a session of Eclipse Phase on Sunday which included lots of confusing morph swapping. Oh, plus on the basis of a simple Facebook post it seems that I have volunteered myself to organise a RuneQuest Down Under Con next year.
Also on Sunday attended St Michael's where the guest address by Rev Paul Stephens on Christian faith and political implications had a strong social justice message albeit with a noblesse oblige. I couldn't help but notice the running analogy of sheep and goats from the readings in Ezekiel 34:10-16,20-24 and Matthew 25:31-46. Afterwards attended their Introduction to Philosophy session convened by Dr Peter Kingsbury on A Just Land; and on that noted I have also stepped down as convenor of The Philosophy Forum. I admit the two events are not entirely unrelated.
For many months now I have simply plodded along with my main languages of choice on Duolingo; Esperanto, French, German, and Spanish. But this has been mostly daily revision, having completed the respective skill trees many months ago (indeed last year). Whilst I have done some lessons in Russian and Mandarin (via Memrise), both of which I find quite difficult, I haven't completed any of the Duolingo skill trees. I have most recently however decided to target Italian and Portuguese, both of which I have a little bit of experience with. I should have both skill trees done by the end of the year.
