eResearch Australiasia Conference

Spending a few days in Sydney with with the eResearch Australasia conference; about five hundred people, fifty exhibitors and close to one hundred presentations - the best so far being the plenary eResearch Forum which outlined funding and implementation in the coming year, and the National Infrastructure Programmes Panel providing a useful discussion on integration. The Epic Fails in eResearch was surprisingly gentle and politically correct for the sensitivities of some present. The conference has also come with a nice dinner at Daltone House. Whilst at the conference I've been invited to present at another conference in Tasmania and a seminar in Dunedin. This is also an opportunity to mention two presentations I've recently given but forgot to post about; Businss Logic and Free Software at Software Freedom Day, and An Introduction to XHTML 5 at the LUV Beginners Workshop. Have also managed to briefly visit the people at the Sydney Unitarian Church, and have a dinner gathering with Sydney colleagues tonight.
