She said yes.

(I "blame", in part, airiefairie's excellent proposal for ending state-sanctioned marriage in favour of civil unions for all, and beagl and kimeros for cutting a similar path. Thanks for the inspiration.)

The common term over here, as they are "Civil Unions" is "getting civilized", as "getting unionised" seems to have the wrong connotations, and whether civilized or not, the term "partner" is a good one. :)
