Freedom!

I've resigned as President, as an executive member, as the Media person and web developer and even as a member for Prosper Australia. This is, mind, having finished a politicians "re-education" pack, a "simple message" leaflet, three websites and giving necessary details for staff members to organise an event.

This is largely due to the inability of one (almost full-time) individual in the organisation to give clear instructions on what they wanted in areas of their responsibility, and their refusual to take direction from others when they had the authority to do so.

So rather than engage in what would be the equivalent of a long and portracted IR dispute, I simply left the organisation. It is probably easier to implement the ideas of Henry George outside the organisation nominally designed for such a purpose.

This does mean that I currently have no permanent work. Financially I am more than OK however; there is close to $10K in my savings account, I have another $20K in "incoming income" (invoices, loans etc) and my rent is paid for the next nine months.

Summer days approach ;-)

*falls over in a dead faint*

I think I'm going to die a happy woman. I read tarot for people here at a metaphysical shop and for people overseas and they don't always do international transfers, so I get paid in coffee beans Believe it or not!

One month I was up to my knees in coffee beans. I musta had about 25 pounds of different assorted flavors..

AND? I was asked what sort of coffee I would like to try out, if there was a flavor anywhere in the world,I would name it, they would get it!

*grins manically*....I am so going to try this.

But, *goes off to make another cup of French Roast sumatra thanks to the next door neighbor who hates it with a passion..*

Thankies for the link! Im trying to look for the site that explains the medical benefits of coffee..damn I better get some sleep, I get so obssessed sometimes..coffee will put me to sleep if I need it. Weird huh?

... drinking Timorese coffee is also good for the people of East Timor. They don't have much

*nods head*

I have done this before. I had purchased from merchants in Eugene who participate in "fair trade".I don't know if the people of East Timor participate in this business venture but from what I understand, this organisation gives people more of an advantage and a way to sell their hand made things and some of their coffee crops to support their families and contribute to the economy of their villages.

Even if they don't participate in this organiation I would help any way I can. I don't have a lot either *wry grin* but I have enough know how in terms of information and damn savvy understanding human culture on a global level. *

When I was in my late teens, I sponsored a child from South America until she was 18, I didn't have much in the way of funds anyway, but I was deternmined for the most part. I was already in my 20's and from some of the letters she wrote to me..she didn't know it but she'd inspired me to go to the University years later to pick up an anthropology degree.

I owe through the teeth, MUCH money for student loans, *groans aloud* but the information I picked up is priceless.
