Home Ownership, Socialising, Gaming
Settlement for our new home in Willsmere estate occurred less than half and hour ago. Special thanks to
seedy_girl for awesome legal liaison. The Mortgage Gallery did a fine job as well in securing the modest loan required. I have a set of photos [01 .. 09] of our new home, albeit with the former tenants furnishings. We have the joy of moving all our stuff (my god, how many books do we have?) later this week.
Because I am sometimes forgetful (or rather, I squeeze in an LJ 'blog in between of doing several other things), I neglected to mention was a delightful time I had with
a_carnal_mink and friends a few weeks back. Apropos such events, I also had the delight of a visit from
discordia13 and
delicious_irony whom I hadn't seen for many years, and likewise a gathering at Polly's for Brendan E's birthday which included an ex-fiancée from some twenty years ago (yes, I do have a past, honest). It was all quite enjoyable.
On Sunday ran a game of GURPS Krononauts which involved taking the PCs back to pre-revolution Paris in order to prevent an 'incorrect' version of D'Alembert's Dream from being written; with influence from the dastardly Adam Weishaupt! This was the third game I ran this week; the other two being Fantasy Australia on Thursday (which combined a Call of Cthulhu adventure - Pride Of Yirrimburra - with an AD&D Dark Sun adventure - Arcane Shadows) and long-continuing RuneQuest game last Sunday and this Sunday coming.

I know, they look fancy, but it was surprisingly inexpensive.

"...it was surprisingly inexpensive."
It's haunted.
;)

For us, it was a bonus.
I reckon a selection of Melbourne g*wths should take over the place, one at a time :)

When I was first looking, amongst my choices included an old abbatoir site, Pentridge apartments or an asylum. My preference was for abbatoir, although in the end I ended up getting a completely independent house not related to any of the above, and I think I'm just as glad.

Imagine the key parties!
FWIW, D and I have agreed that we could never live in any places converted from things such as asylums, prisons, et al. You and E are, now, officially "Gunga Din" to us. :)

Oh, you are such a carnal mink! :)

As such people would say: "Fell from the sky, got stuck in a date palm."

Now the collective space and neighbouring public parkland... Well, that's massive.
When are you coming over?

Next time we are in the area we will definitely have to drop in.

On the floorplan, I assume "Ens" would be Ensuite - but what's BIR or BR in the closets?
no subject
Ens is indeed ensuite, BIR is built-in-robes and BR is bathrobes.

Congratulations... I wish it brings you loads of happiness in the days ahead :)
