That's a good point, which I didn't really consider. Most superhero films are pretty damn crap, especially of the mainstream heroic variety. Some exceptions which come to mind include Dark Man and The Shadow (even if it flopped and most critics didn't like it)...

and maybe Toxic Avenger :)
