Certain people have been saying for the last couple of years that this Howard Government is a "Pre-Fascist" regime. That is, it's not actually fascist yet, but they were cultivating all the elements characteristic of a slide into fascism.

I thought they were a bit loony, but it doesn't look so far fetched any more!
