I really like this four-part definition set -- it's a great analysis which I think accurately represents both the dimensions and their intersections. Relating to the first class of people, I have Robert E. Lee's definition of a gentleman up on my wall at work. It ends with, "A true man of honor feels humbled himself when he cannot help humbling others." It's a nice reminder to myself since, alas, I more often fall into the second category. Maybe I'll give assertive humility a try.
