Ah yes, I remember that. It was a very impressive piece of work, and really indicated the not-significant value of cooperatives. There is of course a few big hitters that get plenty of attention (John Lewis Partnerships in the UK, Mondragon in Spain, the Indian Coffee House in, er, India. But the contribution of small-medium scaled enterprises is often overlooked.
None of this is meant to be a proposed replacement for large public investment for infrastructure that has big externalities. The cooperative is instead, in my opinion, an alternative to the capitalist commodity enterprise.
