Despite your background with Christmas and Tricky's passing away, I hope you were able to enjoy the holidays somewhat.
I was also in a somewhat poor family, but my family had much different interests than I do and attempted to celebrate the holidays in ways I didn't appreciate. (Drinking and gossiping.) After about 12, I ended up speaking holidays alone since I always felt alienated at my family's gatherings. Since I lived on a farm an hour away from the closest town, I didn't have anyone's place to go to or hang out with, which was why I also didn't have many friends. That's why Christmas has always been meh for me.
