Just an opinion, but it strikes me that you should not necessarily value your years solely by how much you "achieve" in them. The maintenance of personal integrity, the ability to retain intentionality in your actions, all of these are worthwhile as well. Choosing not to do a thing, or to discontinue a thing, is an act of proactive self-maintenance. That's an achievement in itself.
